If you鈥檙e passionate about making art or want to better understand and appreciate visual culture, the Art Minor offers a flexible and rewarding option. Designed for non-art majors, this program lets you shape your coursework to match your interests, with guidance from the Art Department Chair or other faculty members.
To complete the minor, you鈥檒l need to earn 18 credits in ART courses, including at least two upper-level courses (6 credits) at the 200-300 level. The program blends studio art, art history, and theory, giving you a chance to explore creative techniques, understand artistic movements, and develop your own style.
The Art Minor is a great way to add creativity and visual thinking to your academic experience. Whether you鈥檙e drawn to hands-on studio work, want to study the history behind iconic art movements, or see how art connects to another field, this minor allows you to deepen your knowledge and expand your perspective.
